Gameplay and Capacity
Gameplay: Similar to Valo Arena, with just one game available. Gameplay starts by picking the crown.
Player Capacity: Modular, ranging from a maximum of 4 players (for smaller play areas) up to 10 players (for bigger play areas).
System Access and Control
Primary Control (Hub): Most functionality from previous products' touchscreens is transferred to the Hub. This includes restarting the game or computer, shutting down, scheduling, and choosing play area size.
Emergency Admin Menu: If the Hub is inaccessible, an Admin Menu can be accessed by logging in remotely via the ultravc tunnel and pressing Escape on the keyboard. This menu is for emergency cases and allows for:
Restarting the game
Accessing first time setup
Changing audio setup
Changing play area sizes
Checking unit details like serial number and build version
Keyboard: A keyboard with a trackpad is provided with every unit. The first time setup can be completed using only the keyboard.
Calibration and Play Area
Calibration: The calibration is automatic through the software because both cameras have fixed angles. It is a fixed calibration, unlike the ongoing automatic process in Val Jump or the floor chest pattern calibration in Arena.
First Time Setup: Primarily done by installers, but can be used if calibration is broken. Allows setting the support language and area size.
Area Size Changes: Changing the play area size in the Hub or Admin Menu also changes the maximum player amount. Changes take effect when on the menu, not during a game. The first time setup shows the selected play area size for reference when taping the floor (if carpets are not used).
Hardware and Troubleshooting
Installation: Currently installed by the team for pilots, but the goal is to make it simpler for customers to install themselves.
Power: The unit has a power switch inside the structure. Manual restart is done by removing the power cord, waiting 30 seconds, and plugging it back in, or by pushing the button on the computer inside the structure.
Resolution: The resolution is 4K. When connecting via UVNC, users should right-click the window and set it to auto scale because the image will be very large.
Serial Number: Can be found in the Admin Menu or on the PC label inside the structure if the system is off.
Payment Status: Pilots are currently running in free play. The payment system (which uses a payment adapter next to the screen) is still in development and will be pushed out later.
Known Issues:
No game-breaking bugs have been reported.
Tracking inconsistencies are being looked into.
Small players might not be tracked efficiently if they are far away at the edge of the play area or blocked by larger players.
Hardware challenges remain, such as ensuring the camera is correctly aligned and positioned.
