This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to calibrate your ValoJump unit. Proper calibration ensures the system accurately identifies the trampoline bed for optimal gameplay and player tracking.
Step 1: Access the Calibration Tool
Log in to the settings menu by clicking the icon in the top-right corner of the touch screen.
Enter your admin password to proceed.
Note: If you do not remember your admin password, contact support@valomotion.com.
Step 2: Launch the Calibration via the Setup Menu
Click the Setup Menu.
Next to the Calibrate the system setting, click the Select button
Select the desired language you wish to use during your calibration process.
Select if your trampoline is either a High Performance Trampoline or a Leisure Trampoline.
High Performance Trampolines are essentially the classic-looking trampolines with springs on the sides.
Leisure Trampolines are trampolines like Airtracks.
Step 3: Clear the Camera View
Ensure the trampoline is completely empty and that no objects or people are blocking the camera's line of sight.
Verify the live camera image on the right side of the screen.
Note: For trampolines wider than 3 meters, the sides do not need to fit perfectly within the frame. If the live view is missing, restart the system.
Step 4: Verify the 3D Depth Image
Inspect the 3D depth camera image on the left half of the screen.
Select Yes if the trampoline bed is visible.
Select No if the bed is not visible.
Tip: If you select "No," place white paper sheets on the corners and center of the trampoline bed (not the padding) and perform a new scan to help the sensor locate the bed.
Step 5: Confirm Automatic Calibration
Compare the white grid overlay to the illustrated "good" example in the top-right corner.
If the white grid matches the trampoline bed in both the video and 3D views, click Yes.
If the grid is misaligned, click No to retry automatic calibration.
Step 6: Perform Manual Calibration (If Needed) and Finish
Use the manual controls only if automatic calibration fails after several attempts.
Use the Move controls (X, Y, Z) to shift the grid left/right, up/down, or forward/backward.
Use the Rotate controls to tilt or turn the grid until it sits flush with the trampoline surface.
Use the Resize controls to match the width and depth of your specific trampoline bed.
Click Done when the white grid perfectly matches the bed.
Click Finish to complete the calibration process.
Note: If gameplay feels glitchy or the system loses track of players, return to the Admin Settings to re-run this calibration.
Conclusion
Calibration is now complete. Your ValoJump system is ready for use with optimized tracking for your specific environment.
