ValoArena Cleaning Guide: Dust-Free, Safe & User-Friendly Maintenance
Keeping your ValoArena clean not only ensures a better gaming experience but also helps protect its critical hardware components. This guide emphasizes proper cleaning practices, safeguarding equipment during construction, and important precautions for handling the setup.
What You'll Need:
- Step ladder (with protective padding to avoid floor marks)
- Microfiber cloth
- Disinfectant wipes
- Compressed air
- Vacuum cleaner
- Floor wiper
- Lukewarm water
Key Maintenance Focus: Dust Cleaning (At Least 4 Times a Year)
Dust buildup can interfere with equipment performance and durability. To avoid issues:
- Clean dust particles at least four times a year.
- During construction, cover all ValoArena electrical components to protect them from dust and debris.
Important Note During Construction:
- The ValoArena should not be used when covered.
- The most important parts to cover are:
- The two touch screen stands
- The computer shelf (located in the center of the ceiling)
- The power supplies for the LED lights (found in the left front and back black boxes on the top corners of the truss)
Step-by-Step Cleaning Guide
- Preparation:
- Turn off the ValoArena.
- Disconnect the power cord (leave other cables plugged in).
- Do not move any hardware around during the cleaning process. Moving equipment unnecessarily could damage components or misalign the setup.
- Using the Step Ladder Safely:
- Place a mat or protective material under the ladder legs to avoid floor marks.
- Dust Removal:
- Use a microfiber cloth or compressed air to clean the computer shelf (ceiling's center).
- Vacuum the fan vents at the rear of the computer.
- Carefully clean the LED light power supplies located in the black boxes at the truss corners.
- Pay special attention to crevices and hard-to-reach areas.
- Disinfecting:
- Wipe down the entrance and exit touch screens with disinfectant wipes or a mild cleaning solution.
- Monitor Cleaning:
- Gently clean monitors with a microfiber cloth and a screen-safe cleaning solution. Avoid abrasive materials.
- Floor Cleaning:
- Vacuum the floor to remove debris.
- Mop the floor with lukewarm water. You can mix in a mild cleaning product, but make sure it’s not too strong as it may damage the flooring.
- Pay extra attention to corners where dust and trash tend to collect.
- Fabrics & Cables:
- Pay extra attention to the fabrics. Ensure they are not hanging loosely or obstructing the view of the two cameras in the ceiling.
- Double-check that no cables are accidentally unplugged during cleaning. Properly arrange cables to avoid potential tripping hazards.
- Final Checks:
- Innspect all cleaned areas to ensure nothing was missed.
- Secure any loose cables neatly.
- Power up the ValoArena and verify all components are functioning correctly.
